Two years have gone by and not much has been added to the blog that is supposed to enrich the degree in Foreign Languages: English and Spanish. Despite the good intentions, it has not achieved its initial purpose of active engagement of both students and teachers. Nonetheless, because I've always had a bit of a problem in accepting defeat, I put forward this motion: that we commit ourselves to writing something for the blog once a month.
To start with, I invite our recent alumni to write a short review of their internship experience in the language they feel more comfortable in: Carla Meneses, Tamara Aller, Nuno Vales, Edi Sampaio and soon enough Elsa Salgueiro and João Pires. But the ones who finished the degree earlier are also wlecome to join in.
Secondly, I would very much appreciate if all studens from 1st, 2nd and 3rd years could write down a short introduction of themselves and their whereabouts in both English and Spanish with the help of their respective teachers, if they feel it is needed.
Last, but not least, I also commit myself to posting the texts written for the department's newsletter (already going on to number 5), as well as posting a monthly text on whatever goes through my mind. I accept suggestions.
