The department’s gossipmonger has returned! Those who thought I might be dead and burried will have to eat their words, because I am alive and kicking (good old Simple Minds…)! I might have been hibernating, but the smell of the election gossip brought me right back to the reassuring life packed with juicy and stinking banter.
Our school experienced the first election poll for the Conselho Geral of the IPB and that was quite enough to rear a few battles, gladly only among adjuntos. The others are canon meat, worthless, unmentionable and disposable, not even entitled to vote, although students can vote! What an awkward sense of democracy or is it a cunning sense of grabbing an opportunity?
Now the second poll has definitely been a savouring delight. 3 candidates running for the Direction of the school: one coming from the current team; another who was once the President before the present one and the last who stubbornly refuses to introduce his partners or perhaps those who accepted his offer do not wish to come out in the open certainly for sheer shyness!
I do declare there are lack of women, despite the respect I nurture for the known subdirectors. Regardless of the outcome, these elections entail the promise of many tales which will endure time itself.
